AVM veröffentlicht FRITZ!OS 6.30 für FRITZ!Powerline 546E und 540E [INT]

AVM hat vor Kurzem FRITZ!OS 6.30 für die internationale Version von FRITZ!Powerline 540E und 546E veröffentlicht und zum Download freigegeben. Das Update beinhaltet Neuerungen sowie Verbesserungen, die sich weiter unten einsehen lassen. Das FRITZ!OS 6.30 Update für die FRITZ!Powerline 546E und 540E lässt sich ab sofort sowohl über die Benutzeroberfläche des jeweiligen FRITZ!Powerline-Adapters als auch über die offizielle Webseite von AVM laden und installieren. Eine zusammenfassende Übersicht über die Neuerungen und Verbesserungen findet ihr weiter unten im Abschnitt Release Notes.

  • Improved IP-TV transmission to devices connected via LAN and wireless LAN
  • New overview page and better display of connections
  • New "Home Network Access" menu item for connecting the FRITZ!Powerline 546E to the FRITZ!Box
  • New feature for adopting the wireless LAN radio settings from the FRITZ!Box
  • Restructured user menus
  • Prepared for upcoming FRITZ!OS of the FRITZ!Box with regard to the central update function under "Home Network"
  • Security: FRITZ!Box login used for powerline devices when no GUI password specified
  • New LED function when powerline connection lost
  • New button function for establishing connections with other powerline devices

Further features and improvements in FRITZ!OS 6.30 for FRITZ!Powerline

  • System ->
    • New - In order to be able address Multicast Streams like IP-TV to the terminal device(s) at high speeds, Multicast-to-Unicast implementation and IGMP snooping are now available for the LAN and PLC home network access options
    • New - FRITZ!Powerline 546E can connect to the the Internet router (FRITZ!Box) and to the network devices via wireless LAN. Clear display of powerline and LAN on the "Overview" start page. This includes a graphic as well as information on speed, encryption and name of radio network
    • New - As part of the completely reworked menus, a new "Home Network Access" item was added, which serves primarily to define the kind of connection to the home network or the FRITZ!Box and to provide relevant information and settings Another new feature is for adopting the wireless LAN radio settings from the FRITZ!Box.
    • New - The upcoming FRITZ!OS of the FRITZ!Box will introduce a new, central feature. The "Home Network" area includes a new "Home Network Overview" to offer an overall view of the currently connected AVM FRITZ! devices. The necessary preparations have already been completed in FRITZ!Powerline 546E.
  • System / Security ->
    • New - When FRITZ!Powerline 546E is integrated in a FRITZ!Box home network, its user interface is protected by the same login data as the FRITZ!Box.
  • Powerline ->
    • Improvement - Functions of the LEDs and buttons were adjusted to a unified standard within FRITZ!Powerline product line. The Powerline LED is now off completely rather than flashing when there is no powerline connection. The "Powerline . Security" button and the corresponding "WLAN . WPS" are now pressed only briefly to simplify connecting to powerline and wireless LAN devices.

Wichtige Hinweise zum Update: Verwende für die Nutzung der neuen Funktionen einen Webbrowser mit HTML5-Unterstützung, zum Beispiel die aktuellen Versionen von Google Chrome oder Mozilla Firefox.
